Public transportation
Scheveningen is easily accessible by public transport, due to the limited parking space we advise you to use it. For recent travel information we refer you to www.9292ov.nl.
From The Hague Central Station or Hollands Spoor Station you can easily change to tram 1 or 9. If you want to go to the old village of Scheveningen it is just a matter of getting off the tram earlier. From The Hague Holland Spoor it is best to take tramlines 1 and 11. See here the tramline map of The Hague.
If you want to come by car, please realise that it can be very busy at the beach in the summer. There are a lot of tourists and day trippers. The best way is to follow the A12 or N44 and then follow the signs Scheveningen Bad. In the summer, however, there is another possibility that can save you a long traffic jam. Park the car at P+R Hoornwijck, located near the A4, and take tram 5 to Scheveningen. This is also called the Strand Express and costs 2 euros for a return trip where four people can travel on. This tram leaves every 10 minutes.
