Adapted watersport activities with Optimist on Tour
During the Allianz Sailing Worlds in Scheveningen, children with disabilities also have the opportunity to participate in Optimist on Tour. the certified and experienced sailing instructors will introduce them to various water sports and teach them about different aspects of water. Scheveningen is one of the locations where Optimist on Tour can provide these activities, the right facilities are in place and experienced instructors will ensure that it’s safe to try new sports.
When
During the first weekend of the Allianz Sailing World Championships in Scheveningen: August 11th to 13th, 2023. There are many more activities to enjoy on the beach during the Festival at Sea!
Adapted canoeing and sailing is available on August 11th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. On August 12th: canoeing and adapted sailing is from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. And on August 13th, you can participate in canoeing/kayaking from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Where
The excavated water basin is right in the middle of the beach of Scheveningen, Allianz Sailing Worlds in Scheveningen, located at Strandweg 4.
