During the Allianz World Cup sailing you can sail, sup, windsurf and canoe with your friends! Who knows, you might even run into an Olympic athlete and you can ask them all about their experiences during the World Championships. Children between the ages of 8 and 12 can register with their friends to participate in Optimist on Tour. All you need is a minimum swimming certificate A. Fun on the water guaranteed!
At Optimist on Tour, the water sports event organised by the Water Sports Association, which travels nationwide, children can get acquainted with various water sports for free. Since the start of Optimist on Tour in 2014, more than 125,000 children have been introduced to water sports. Accompanied by certified and enthusiastic instructors, children sail their first miles in an Optimist and go canoeing, supping or windsurfing. In addition, the Optimist on Tour Laboratory, where children learn more about water in a playful way, provide a lot of fun next to the water. In this way, children come into contact with water sports in an easy, fun and accessible way!
After the children have participated in optimist on tour, we put them in touch with associations and sailing schools in the area. In this way, we try to connect children to water sports for a longer period of time. The Optimist On Tour program will be present daily from 10:00 – 17:00.
